A Full-Circle Moment in My 3D Journey!

My latest portfolio piece is a special one. It’s a 3D recreation of a traditional sculpture by the renowned Richard McDonald—an artist whose work has inspired me from the very start.
In fact, my very first portfolio piece as a Modeler & Texturing Artist was also a recreation of one of his sculptures. Coming back to his work now, with years of experience and growth behind me, feels like closing a meaningful loop.
This project challenged me to stay true to the expressive forms and fine details that make McDonald's work so powerful while also bringing it to life in the digital space. Below, you can see my renders alongside reference images of the original sculpture to showcase the transformation from traditional to digital. I hope it does justice to the beauty of the original.
